MIG (Metal Inert Gas)/MAG (Metal Active Gas) welding is a technique that uses the fusible electrode under inert gas (MIG) or active gas (MAG). For both techniques, the welding process is the same. But the difference lies in the type of gas used (inert or active).
It is the most popular welding technique. Indeed, it allows to weld large surfaces in a short time. It can also be applied to several types of steel and different thicknesses. It is automatically fed with wire.
Thanks to these different advantages, this welding method is well suited for large repetitive welding jobs. It is used in theindustry and large companies.
