No one will tell you otherwise, having beautiful skin is a real asset of charm and seduction. Unfortunately over the years the effects of time can be felt, and the skin is no longer as firm or radiant as before. However, you do not have to spend huge amounts of money on creams full of chemicals, nor do you have to go under the knife to slow down the aging of your skin and preserve its youth. Adopting certain small habits and a healthy lifestyle on a daily basis is more than enough
1. Limit your exposure to the sun
Although a quantity of radiation is necessary for our body, to replenish its stock of vitamin D, you should know that we expose ourselves to the sun much more than is necessary.
This overexposure to UV has the consequences of destroying skin cells and accelerating its aging, when it does not lead to a more serious consequence such as skin cancer. It is therefore essential to limit your exposure and protect yourself against the sun’s rays. Using a sunscreen with an IP / SPF (protection factor) of 30 or higher will provide you with effective protection against UVA and UVB rays. It is advisable to apply cream both when the weather is nice and when the sky is cloudy, and to renew it every two or three hours outdoors.
2. Stop smoking
The toxins in cigarettes damage the elasticity of the skin and make it look rough, dull and pale. It is therefore not surprising that smokers appear older than non-smokers. Keep skin young and firm can be a motivating reason to quit smoking but it is certainly not the only or most important one. Remember that smoking reduces your life expectancy, so don’t hesitate to make a good resolution and wean yourself from cigarettes for good.
3. Do not overuse products and treatments
The use of a large number of products and treatments results in the combination of several ingredients, which when they do not cancel each other out, irritate and damage the skin. When it comes to skin care, it’s best to keep things simple: sunscreen, moisturizer and another cleanser are more than enough.
4. Consume foods rich in antioxidants
Young skin and a radiant complexion also pass through your plate. Foods with antioxidant power are recommended to fight against aging. Among these foods we find fruits rich in vitamin C such as kiwi, orange, clementine or strawberries. Walnuts, hazelnuts and fines are equally rich in vitamin E and selenium known for its cell regenerating effect.
5. Hydrate well
Dehydration hinders blood circulation and the supply of nutrients and oxygen to the various organs. As soon as you are dehydrated, it shows on your face and on your skin, which loses its color as well as its tone. Keep a bottle of water handy and hydrate regularly.
6. De-stress
Stress is as bad for your health as it is for your appearance. In a stressful situation your skin becomes fragile, it is less hydrated and its ability to regenerate is reduced. Learn to stay calm in all circumstances, not to worry about anything and to relax. To do this you can resort to meditation, a few minutes of mindfulness or listening to relaxing music.
7. Sleep well
You’ve probably already woken up with suitcases in front of you after a bad night. This means that sleep has a significant effect on the skin.. While you sleep, your skin cells regenerate and rebuild themselves. Make sure you get enough, and quality, sleep to wake up with pure skin and a radiant complexion.
8. Do physical exercise
Sport improves blood circulation responsible for oxygenating and nourishing the skin, while facilitating the evacuation of toxins through perspiration. Practice physical exercise regularly will preserve your health and the youthfulness of your skin.
